In this policy, “Hero Drop”, “we” and “us” mean [STUDIO LEGAL ENTITY], the company that makes and operates Hero Drop.
Streaming and video
You may stream, record and publish Hero Drop gameplay, and monetize it on any platform: ads, memberships, donations, sponsorships of your own channel.
- Please credit Hero Drop in the title or description.
- Don’t use our footage or art to make your content look like it comes from us.
- We don’t lead with takedowns. If something about your content concerns us, we’ll talk to you first.
No implied sponsorship or endorsement
Nobody may say or suggest that Hero Drop sponsors, partners with, employs or endorses them, their words or their content. That covers your channel, your Discord, your team or league name, your merch, and anything you post in our community spaces.
- A sponsorship or partnership exists only when there is a written agreement signed by us. A message from a team member, a retweet, a feature in our news or a supporter tier is none of those things.
- Being listed as a licensed league means you hold a licence. It doesn’t mean we endorse you.
- We may ask you to correct a claim of sponsorship or endorsement, and remove it from our spaces if you don’t.
Self-promotion in our Discord
- Promote your streams, videos, leagues and servers only in the channel set aside for it: [#SELF-PROMO CHANNEL].
- Don’t DM members to advertise anything.
- Don’t post invites to other servers outside that channel.
- Moderators may remove promotion posted anywhere else. Repeated spam is treated as a Code of Conduct breach.
Using our name and logo
- You may use the name “Hero Drop” in plain text to describe your content (“a Hero Drop tournament”, “Hero Drop highlights”).
- Using the Hero Drop logo, characters or art in your own branding, channel art, league logo or merch needs a licence from us.
- Assets from the press kit may be used in coverage and videos about Hero Drop. Please don’t alter the logo.
Marketing inside the game
Brands appear inside Hero Drop in three ways only, and all of them go through us:
- Patreon placements: supporter wall stones and plates, your name on a bot, and adopted servers. See Support.
- Licensed league branding: a licensed league’s own logos and its approved sponsors, shown during that league’s matches under a written agreement.
- Paid sponsor placements: placements in maps and sponsored events, sold by us directly to sponsors.
No one else may place advertising, links or promotional content inside the game. That includes pilot names and team names and tags used as ads.
Sponsors we don’t accept
Hero Drop is played by people of all ages, including minors. We do not accept these sponsors, for Hero Drop itself, for licensed leagues, or for in-game placements:
- gambling, betting, casinos, loot-box or skin-gambling sites;
- cryptocurrency, NFTs, tokens and “play-to-earn” schemes;
- alcohol, tobacco, vaping and cannabis;
- adult or sexual content;
- weapons and weapons retailers;
- political campaigns and political advertising;
- anyone selling cheats, exploits, account boosting or account trading.
[CONFIRM THIS LIST]. We may decline any other sponsor at our discretion.
