In this policy, “Hero Drop”, “we” and “us” mean [STUDIO LEGAL ENTITY], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], the company that makes and operates the Hero Drop game, its servers (called Nexus), the Hero Drop Discord bot, the Hero Drop Replay app and this website. To ask us anything about your data, use the privacy address on the contact page.
The short version
- We don’t ask for your name, a password or (in the game) an email address.
- We collect what’s needed to run online matches, stats, Ranked and the league.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

Voice chat is relayed live to the other players in your match. [CONFIRM: voice is never recorded or stored by our servers.]
If you link Discord
When you use /link, we store your Discord user ID against your pilot, so bot commands can act as you. The bot also stores the playtime and availability you choose to save with /playtime (including the time zone you confirm; it never keeps the city you typed), and moderation logs for 30 days. Use /unlink to remove the link, and Clear all availability to remove your hours.
If you use the Nexus portal
The portal signs you in with a one-time link sent to your email address, which we store to send those links. [UPDATE if Discord or headset sign-in is added.]
If you use Hero Drop Replay
The replay app runs on your PC. Recordings you import stay on your computer. League Theatre loads hosted league recordings from our servers and videos from YouTube, under YouTube’s own privacy policy.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
- The trailer only loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) after you press play. From then on, YouTube’s privacy policy applies to that video.
- Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) for [14] days to keep the site running and secure.
Patreon, merch and other services
Patreon, our merch store, Discord and Meta are separate companies with their own privacy policies. From Patreon we receive your Patreon display name and tier, which we use for the supporter wall, plates and Discord roles if you choose to appear there.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell personal data. We share it only with the companies that help us run Hero Drop (server hosting [PROVIDERS], Discord, Meta for sign-in, YouTube for league broadcasts), when the law requires it, or to protect players from cheating and abuse. Your pilot name, stats, rating, team and league results are public by design.
Where your data is stored
On servers in [COUNTRY / REGION, e.g. United States]. [TRANSFER SAFEGUARDS for players outside that country.]
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your data, and to stop using it. Where we rely on your consent, such as linking Discord or saving availability, you can withdraw it at any time. We’ll reply within [30] days. Deleting your data removes your pilot, stats and rating. League results already played may be kept in anonymised form so standings stay correct.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
[AGE POLICY]. Meta’s own rules govern who may use a Quest and its accounts. If you believe a child has given us personal data that they shouldn’t have, contact us and we’ll delete it.
